1. Quill

Can’t resist a chance at more ink! I haven’t tried any of this line and I’d love to have the chance to try them out πŸ™‚ Thanks for offering this giveaway!

  2. Debora Lustgarten

    Hi Liz and Jon,
Golly! Winning 18 bottles of ink would be like getting your own oil tanker to fill a little VW beetle! Best of luck to all (but they are mine, you hear? Mine!)

  3. Adora

So much squee! Altho recently, I can relate more to the unfortunate-stroller-incident in your post than to the choose-your-favourite-ink aspect of the post >.<

  4. Being almost completely new to the fountain pen world I’ve never tried Rohrer & Klingner inks. I would like the opportunity! The stroller/camera incident sounds frightening, but cameras are replaceable.

  5. Mark

Wow, this is an awesome giveaway! I’ve yet to try any R & K inks. I have a small sample somewhere, but I’ve yet to give it a shot. Thanks so much for the opportunity!

  6. Left most of my art supplies behind on my recent relocation to Toronto, so would be ecstatic to win this collection. Looking forward to visiting your new store!

  7. James Kostelnik

Hmm, is it a coincident that it’s St Patrick’s day and my favourite green ink is Alt-Gold grun? Who cares! Happy St Pattys day! Best of good fortunes in the new locale.

  8. Koshka

LOVE the sepia, but there’s something about the Old Bordeaux that really calls to me! Can’t wait to see the new digs πŸ™‚

  9. Tracey Naylor

Ooooooo! An entire set of inks! What fun! I’d love to be the one to tell you about the sepia! πŸ˜‰ ~thanks for the chance!

  10. Jay Harlander

I love the Koenigsblau and the Alt Gold-Gruen is a favorite also. I am biased – due to my Austrian/German Heritage. Would love a chance to try out the other colors, so please consider me for the giveaway! πŸ™‚

  11. Lilith

Excitement! Thank you for this giveaway! I’ve been wanting to try Salix and Scabiosa for some time now, but have been waiting for the winter deep freeze to thaw out. Can’t wait to see the new shop. Technically it will be a shorter drive from Kingston so yippee! Also, RIP to your little camera.

  12. Lilith

PS: I shared your post on reddit. I believe you guys do lurk from time to time but are shy to post, so I posted for you πŸ˜‰

  13. Chris

Ooh. I’d love to try these inks! I’ve been interested in trying their Salix and Alt-GoldgrΓΌn in particular, but I always manage to talk myself out of it – “You don’t really need that, do you? You’ve got enough inks already…”

  14. Ivan Graham

I would love to try this brand (it’s on my list). Thanks for the opportunity to win them.
Good luck on the new store!

  15. Bryan Tam

I am always thinking that if I can choose, I will buy stuffs from your shop rather than in other fountain pen shops to support your family business. However, it’s so hard to resist this giveaway, especially for a student like me that can’t afford buying the whole set!

  16. Ryan

I can’t resist, I would love those inks!!

Good luck with the move, I’m looking forward to more inventory space!

  17. Γ‰tienne

Woo! I am new to fountain pen, recently got my first one from my dad. Now I wanna try all the ink in the world!

  18. Cyn

I’ve tried Sepia – apparently I’m the only one who comes into the shop asking for a sample! I finally got one, and I like it, and I’m coming in for a bottle sometime soon. πŸ˜€

  19. KateP

How exciting! I recently bought the Alt-Goldgrun and love it (the shading!), and would enjoy trying the rest. Can’t wait until you’re in the east end…

  20. Ooh! A rainbow of ink is exactly what’s needed to get through what’s left of this winter that just doesn’t want to end… everything is so white, here!
Good luck with the renovations and the move. May it all go as smoothly as a great pen on the best paper!

  21. Susan White

Wow, what a generous giveaway! I love R&K inks. I’ve tried Sepia, Alt Goldgrun and Verdigris and they’re all great. Thanks for the chance to win and good luck with the reno and move to the new location.

  22. Sandra Dever

Just shared this to The Fountain Pen Network and Pen and Ink on facebook. (I’ve already entered the contest above.

  23. Kristina

I keep meaning to try R&K inks, but just haven’t had the chance to yet! I’m excited to see your new location; if I go to uoft later this year I’ll certainly have to drop by very often. :p

Good luck with the move, and thank you so much for this giveaway ^^

  24. Hi Jon and Liz! My husband and I are both into fountain pens and are always on the hunt for a nice pen store. We are moving to Toronto soon and it’s so exciting that we will be able to visit Wonder Pens! Thanks for hosting the giveaway and all the best with the move!

  25. Izzy Martin

I have tried both the iron gall inks and loved them. I have always been tempted to try the others but other inks always seem to make the list first.

  26. jasonkbartlett

Count me in too. I’ve been and R&K fan for a while. I really enjoy iron-gall formula inks and Scabiosa was my first R&K bottle.

  27. Annie Lam

MORE INK?! I think I am in heaven!
I went to the shop during the weekend and happened to pick up a bottle of ink and your tote but left with the thought that vanishing points are just god-tier; a whole new experience of writing.

But, back to the point here. My first bottle of ink was from Rohrer & Klingner, specifically in Smaragdgrun. The colour is amazing.

I hope to be able to drop by your store before you guys move. If not, I look forward to visiting you guys at your new place.

  28. Jacy

Oh ho, I just found out about R&K, they’re fantastic and probably the wettest inks I’ve tried. Using their regular blue lately.

Never got to get over to your old place, but hopefully can get to the new.

  29. Shawn Elliott

Wow! Looks like a great set! Can’t wait to see you over in the east end … May be able to visit more often πŸ™‚

  30. Glenn

So far I have only tried one of those, a green which I quite like. It may be obsessive, but I usually have several pens with me each day, each inked up with something different, and I flush out and switch to other colours about once a week.
Am thrilled to learn about your store! Will have to come by some time, now that the ice is starting to break up.
    Cheers from harbourfront.

  31. Brian K.

I’m enjoying the Alt-Gold grun ink very much, and I’m glad that I bought it. I have a couple of other light green inks (Herbin Vert Olive, Vert Pre), but this R&K has more depth and it is easier to read than those others. I’ve wanted to try a couple of their other shades for some time now; the value is very good, especially for the size of the bottles.

Good luck with your move to your new location — I’ll miss dropping in at the Dundas West location, but I’ll find you once you move to Leslieville.

And, I hope everything is OK with the stroller situation, and that there were no injuries. All the best to you, Liz & John, and thanks for stocking so many terrific pens and inks.

    Brian K.

  32. fionnly

Rohrer & Klingner’s Leipziger Schwarz was one of the very first fountain pen inks I used. I actually picked it up because I adored the bottle, but after all this time, I still think it writes beautifully.

I would love to try out their other colours too (because sometimes, samples aren’t enough)! It would make my dull hours of studying a lot brighter.

Anyway, good luck to everyone participating!

  33. My favourite Rohrer & Klingner ink is Fernambuk.
Good luck moving … looks like you have lots of pen friends you can call when you need help with the heavy lifting!

  34. Pen_Haul

I agree that Scabiosa can be difficult to clean! I made the mistake of leaving it in my Metropolitan too long and it was nearly impossible to clean. This would be awesome to add to my collection by the way! πŸ™‚

    • ApenGuy

I love ROHRER & KLINGNER ALT-BORDEAUX since I kinda miss old school black swan in australian roses.. πŸ™

  35. Am I ever so happy to see all the posts about the move. It means bigger and better things for you three lovely human beings. Congrats on the new place, and definitely excited to see it when you do your grand opening! (If you need a photog for the event, gimme a shout πŸ˜‰ )

  36. Shirley Zhang

    Happy moving!!!!!

I’m just curious about where’s the new location~~ The Dundas location is actually about a 2hr commute for me by TTC as I’m in Markham … but I love this store so much so it’s ok!!

I have extrme OCD therefore I love collecting anything that comes in SETS!!!!!

YAY~I’m so excited for the move! And the giveaway!!

  37. Chris Willits

Yes, I like lots if ink. Pretty colours abound!
Hope your camera / stroller issue gets sorted soon… πŸ™‚

  38. Elaine Chak

R&K Sepia is amazing. The only other R&K ink I’ve tried is Alt-GoldgrΓΌn. Both are favourites. Would love to try the other colours too! All the best for your move!

  39. Samantha

I’ve never tried Rohrer and Klingner ink, but they look absolutely beautiful! My favourite would have to be Blu Mare and Cassia. My friend says she likes Smaragdgrun the most. I’ll have to keep my eye out for your new location!

  40. Nina

You managed to photograph my dream of having a window sill full of inks to draw the gray world turning into a fiesta spring. Nina

  41. RonB

Good luck with the move! I have their Salix and Alt-Gold grun, would love to try the rest! πŸ™‚ Thanks for the giveaway!

  42. Ruth

Oh what the heck — I’ll throw my name in the hat! Purely in the interest of helping you with the amount of ink you’ll have to move to the new store, of course…selfish altruism is alive and well! Ha ha. I like the Alt Goldgrun very much, it has a nice depth to it. And the Verdigris is an interesting shade, too. It would be fun to have a complete set, that’s for sure.

  43. Roman Boychuk

It’s a shame that the East end of Toronto is even further from me than downtown, but a new exciting location for you guys is really cool. I can’t say I’ve tried out any of the R&K inks, but just looking at them, Fernambruk and Blu Mare look really cool. Thanks for doing such an awesome giveaway!

Good luck with the move and lift with your legs! πŸ™‚

  44. My favourite so far is the Alt-Gold Gren. Such a great, strange green. Anyhow, I would love a chance to try them all! Will miss you in the west end, but will definitely treck east when you do. Best of luck!

  45. Stephen van Niekerk

I haven’t been able to buy any R&K inks yet, but I really want to try Alt Goldgrun and Scabiosa!

  46. asaimeagow

Hmm. I have Konigsblau which is a nice pure blue, although it’s almost blue-black in certain pens. I’m planning to try Alt-Goldgrun and the iron gall inks.

  47. Songyi Yuan

I’ve only tried a sample of Alt Goldgrun, and it’s a beautiful colour for journalling! I’ve heard the iron gall inks work great on cheaper paper, so I’m kinda interested in them as well.

Thanks for this giveaway, and good luck on moving!

  48. Eddie

I have no experience with those inks but I definitely would love to win the inks so I could try all of them out πŸ˜›

  49. lesserweevils

I started using fountain pens a while ago but have never tried any Rohrer & Klingner ink. I’ve never tried iron gall ink either. Thanks for making this giveaway available – and in Canada too!

  50. Josh

My wife asked me yesterday if I need more ink for my fountain pen. I think the answer now is that I need 18 inks for my fountain pen πŸ™‚

(condolences on the camera … been there)

  51. Manfredi

I was in your store last week and was eyeing the R&K inks, of which I already have a couple.I wouldn’t mind having the whole series πŸ˜‰

  52. Amy Pilkington

Oh dear, that’s a lot of beautiful ink! I would love to win them!

    Condolences on your camera mishap.

  53. Sorry to hear about your camera…this is a generous giveaway…I hope the universe repays you with a new camera! I’ve yet to try this line of inks, but I’ve had my eye on several of their colours.

  54. Bailey

That’s an awesome give away! I always have a tough time deciding on which ink to buy and try next, now there doesn’t have to be “there can only be one”! Thanks for sharing your “Adventures in Moving”.

  55. Madox

I hope that your move will be worth it, something so inspiring that we’ll want to put pen to paper to tell our friends about it. And if we’ve got wicked enough inks, they’ll know right away that what we’re saying is true.

  56. I’ve only tried a couple inks so far, but have had those on my list for quite some time.

Good luck with the move, and i will hopefully be able to look you up the next time i am in Toronto

  57. Michael H

I’m new to R&K but I think Salix is excellent – easily the most reliable ink I’ve used on any paper, and I find its oxidized color very satisfying. It’s still on probation in a sacrificial Safari until I’m sure it won’t eat any pens, but so far it hasn’t given me any trouble. Congratulations on the move!

  58. Tasy Strouzas

R & K was the first Ink I bought from wonderpens, and I used it to go in my first fountain pen that was also bought from wonderpens! You guys are great. I feel like I am buying from a friend every time I place an order.

  59. Brad

Well this is perfect, I was about to order samples of all the R&K inks to try out. Having the whole bottles would be even better. Happy St. Pattys day everyone!

  60. I will try those iron galls ink, but I want to complete my order with some Noodlers and Diamine. Winter is not over yet so this order must wait. I don’t want to receive frozen ink.

  61. Ree Zheng

Loved the R&K inks I’ve tried so far, hope to try more in the coming years. By getting them from your shop, of course.

  62. Stephane Normandin

Always wanted to try Rohrer & Klingner!!! What a marvellous occasion to do so! πŸ˜€ Thank for the competition! πŸ˜€

  63. Scott Hamel

That’s a loooooot of ink. And hey the sepia is pretty cool!

I’ll also say congrats with the move and I hope all goes as perfectly and smoothly as possible!

  64. thyna

absolutely stunning giveaway! i’m also incredibly excited to see your new place since i’m out east and also yay for larger spaces! hope the move goes smoothly (:

  65. Seem to have Alt-Goldgrun or Salix in a pen at any given time. Love R&K inks. Best wishes for an efficient and painless move to your new local! Remember…bend your knees and don’t twist your back when picking up heavy items.

  66. James

Let’s see.. I presently have Scabiosa, Konigsblau, Solferino, Salix, Blau permanent. Yep, I need more R&K ink, especially the Sepia – it would be awesome in the new Pelikan M200 CafΓ© CrΓ¨me.

I am looking forward to visiting the new store. Good luck with the move!

  67. Pat D

It’s nice to see that Wonder Pens will be expanding! And moving closer to where I live πŸ™‚

I hope the stroller and camera are ok.

I haven’t tried Rohrer & Klingner inks yet (being fairly new to using fountain pens) but I’m looking forward to the possibility of trying some of those magnificent colours.

    Best wishes regarding the move!

  68. Mel K

Wow, 18 ink bottles?! Good luck to the winner who’ll have to find room for all those inks… πŸ˜‰

Looking forward to visiting your new store! πŸ™‚

  69. Alex K

Jon told me a couple weeks ago that “it’s a slippery slope” when I bought my first fountain pens and inks a couple of weeks ago. It’s funny how that phrase entered my head again when I went into the shop for a second time to make my second (and definitely not last) purchases.

It’s a slippery slope but it’s a fun one too. Thanks for being an awesome shop πŸ™‚

  70. Y2

I just received my first order of ink from you guys and they’re great! But I’m always open to trying out new colours and new brands! πŸ˜‰ I love your website and enjoy popping onto your blog to see what’s new. Good luck on the move! If I ever make it to Toronto, I’ll definitely make it a point to drop by and take a look at the new store!

  71. Chris

Discovered you guys on Monday, dropped in yesterday and purchased three pens and two ink. I would love to try the Sepia. Looking forward to your new location. Congratulation.

  72. Anthony

I’ve been ordering pens from online for years and have only recently discovered your store. I made an order of some ink and other stuff back in January and discovered that you split some of the ink which I thought was curious. I then realized that, of course, because it can freeze and crack the bottle. This was really thoughtful! I’m super pleased I’ve discovered your store and can’t wait to visit when I come back home to Toronto.

  73. ochatea

Love your instagram and blog! Thanks for this amaaaaazing giveaway! I wish I was closer to your store and not on the west coast so I can visit! Good luck with the move…. and hopefully one day I’ll come to your store!

  74. bruce gordon

congratulations on your decision to move and finding such a wonderful location. looking forward to visiting the new store in the summer. It’s always such a pleasure to hear about the growth of your family and lively-hood. could never resist a chance to try new Rohrer & Klingner inks.

  75. Ah, you guys always amaze me! I really need to head to your store (once it’s opened at the new place!) and check out all the goodies in person. But, I’m rather shy in that aspect. πŸ˜› Hope that news about the stroller and camera wasn’t too bad! :O

Keep up the great work guys! Also, I wanted to say thank you because for the TWSBI 580 pen I got from you with the 1.1 Italic nib. It helped me in a bind when I was doing a project based on Calligraphy! πŸ˜€

    You guys keep rocking! <3

  76. I have a sepia Faber-Castell PITT pen and love the colour, so am intrigued at trying that colour in a fountain pen. I bought a bottle of Alt-GoldgrΓΌn from you and absolutely love it, it runs beautifully in my Pilot Metropolitan, so I would like to try different colour samples of the R & K. I am also
interested in trying their reds and I don’t have any blue ink at all, so that would be neat to try the R & K ones.

  77. Antonella Lucente

Thanks for updates. Looking forward yo your new location. Will make sure to continue to shop there, although I live in west end, i never turn my back on gem stores like yours. Congrats!

  78. Lee Munro

If I had to pick one R&K ink, it would have to be Scabiosa. They don’t make a bad ink, every one is gorgeous and well behaved. But there’s simply nothing else out there like Scabiosa: shading, colour, waterproofness, it’s truly a one-off ink.

  79. Kerry adams

Hope the Camera and Stoller are OK!
While I don’t own a complete line of any inks, I have samples of the complete pilot iroshizuku line and it is amazing.
I am forever trying new inks (my samples are drawing near to the 100 mark) and discovering the beauty of each shade and style.

Good luck with the move, but don’t worry, we’ll all move with you πŸ‘

  80. Marvin

Good luck with your new store..I lived in Toronto in the 50’s but now on Vancouver Island so I will not be visiting your new store any time soon, my loss.

  81. Ryan Clements

Glad to hear you are getting a new store, I wish you guys the best of luck and maybe one day i will be able to come see the store in person

  82. Cathy Oppedisano

Would love to have such wonderful calligraphy supplies since my supplies from high school have probably been thrown away by those that can’t appreciate such an expression of art and communication

  83. Emily M.

Best of luck with the move! The new space is much closer to me and I’m very excited to see it. Thanks for a great giveaway!

  84. Edmond

OMG, good luck with new store. Divine. Wow, prizeink is fab. & splendid. 2 fingers snap. It is tight, fly & off the chain. Thank you for the awesomeness, the contest, and generosity. Pick me, pick me!

  85. Hello Liz & Jon,

Glad to hear about the move. Good luck with everything.
I have a bottle of Salix which I love.
I’ve also tried a sample of Alt-Goldgrun. Very nice shading on that one.

Looking forward to seeing you at the new location!

  86. That is such an amazing give away! I’m looking forward for this contest! Since I found the fountain pens of my dreams from your store, its time to start experiencing with different inks! Keep us updated! Thank you for the offer!

    All best Anastasia

  87. Andrew Sgro

Really excited to see the new store! So excited that everything is going well, nice to see enthusiasts and a local shop do so well.

I have recently purchased Konigsblau, fabulous ink.

  88. Gail Kranendonk

With twin granddaughters arriving soon, we will be printing lots of pictures ourselves and the extra ink would come in handy and be greatly appreciated.

  89. Mohamed

Visited the store for first time recently with my kids. We all loved it. We look forward to visit the new location.

    All the best

  90. jt

R&K Konigsblau was the first ink I purchased when 906 opened. While I’ve acquired many lovely inks from your shop since then, it is still one of my favourites πŸ™‚ Excited to hear about the new location; hope the move goes smoothly!

  91. sharonseto

I’m in the process of moving from the west (just south of your Dundas shop) to the east (just south of your new location!). I’m so excited because I haven’t had a chance to stop in, but will be able to easily now. So excited to see come by and also take a class.

  92. MC

rohrer and klingner inks are my new obsession…tried the leipziger schwarz after your blog post and cannot describe how I love this ink… good luck with the move. sorry to see your sweet shop on dundas go but consoled by the fact that you will be moving to my bit of the city (happy dance)

  93. VenkatP

Never tried any Rohrer & Klingner ink before. Will be an interesting experience if I win. Good luck with your move.

  94. I am so excited about your new location! It’s always amazing to see Canadian businesses succeed! I can hardly wait to follow along with the adventure as it unfolds!

  95. Adam

While the old shop did have a charm of its own, congratulations on the new place. All the best to you and your family.
